Smart Boards for Classrooms — AI Digital Boards for Teaching

Cybernetyx EyeRIS AI smart boards for Karnataka schools, colleges and coaching centres, with Samsung as an alternative. Supplied from Bengaluru by VTL, Cybernetyx's distribution partner for Karnataka.

In short

What a school should buy

A digital board for teaching is a large 4K touchscreen that takes the place of the blackboard, projector and speakers in a classroom. Teachers write on it, open lessons and videos, and share their phone or laptop to it.

For most Karnataka schools we recommend the Cybernetyx EyeRIS A10 in 75 or 86 inch. It comes with BrightClass, which has content for NCERT, CBSE, ICSE and State Board syllabi and an AI assistant that prepares lesson plans and quizzes for the chapter being taught. Choose the A10 Pro if you also want to record classes or teach hybrid lessons.

VTL is the appointed Cybernetyx distribution partner for Karnataka. The panels are on display at our Experience Center in Bengaluru, and we quote per school.

In the classroom

What a digital board replaces

One panel on the wall instead of several pieces of equipment, each with its own upkeep.

Blackboard or whiteboard

Teachers write and annotate on the 4K screen with a stylus or finger, and save the board instead of erasing it.

Projector and screen

No lamp, no dim image in a daylit room, no shadow when the teacher stands in front of the board.

Classroom PC

The panel runs Android on its own. An OPS slot-in module adds Windows only where it is needed.

Speakers

Built-in speakers for videos and lessons. The EyeRIS A10 Pro also amplifies the teacher's voice.

Separate content subscription

EyeRIS panels ship with BrightClass, with syllabus content and an AI assistant on the panel.

Printed worksheets and tests

Quizzes, MCQs and homework can be generated for the chapter and run as a class poll.

AI smart boards

Why we lead with AI smart boards

A plain interactive panel gives teachers a big screen and a whiteboard app. The school still has to find content, and teachers still prepare every quiz and worksheet by hand. An EyeRIS panel ships with BrightClass, and its Bright AI assistant works from the syllabus.

  • • Lesson plans, MCQs, homework and revision for the chapter in hand
  • • Slides and mind maps generated in class
  • • 3D library and virtual labs for science
  • • Polling without student devices
  • • NCERT, CBSE, ICSE and State Board content, 75+ languages
  • • Teacher, student, parent and admin apps

Cybernetyx positions this as removing the separate content and assessment subscriptions a school would otherwise pay for.

Brands

Cybernetyx EyeRIS or Samsung Flip — which suits your school?

Sizing

Choosing a size for each classroom

Measure from the board wall to the last row. A common AV rule of thumb keeps the farthest student within about six times the screen height.

65"

Small classrooms, labs, tuition rooms

Last row up to ~5 m

75"

Standard classrooms, 30–40 students

Last row up to ~5.5 m

86"

Larger classrooms, 40+ students

Last row up to ~6.5 m

98"

Seminar and lecture rooms

Last row up to ~7 m

Most schools standardise on one or two sizes so teachers get the same board in every room. Go one size up for deep, narrow rooms or subjects where students read fine detail from the back. See the EyeRIS A10 size and spec guide for more.

Smart class board price

What drives the cost

We do not publish a list price because two schools rarely order the same thing. These are the choices that move the number.

Panel size

65, 75, 86 or 98 inch. Size is the biggest single factor in the panel price.

Model

EyeRIS A10 for everyday teaching, A10 Pro with camera, mics and voice amplification, or A20e with Google EDLA.

OPS module

Only needed for Windows software. Intel i5 or i7 options add to the per-room cost.

Quantity

A whole-school or multi-campus order is quoted differently from a single classroom.

Installation

Wall type, mounting or floor stand, electrical points and network cabling at your site.

Accessories

Document camera, whiteboard camera and other add-ons, room by room.

Comparison

Projector or digital board?

A projector still costs less upfront for a very large image. The full comparison is in smart board vs projector.

Tighter budget

Keep your projectors with EyeRIS IX

EyeRIS IX is a compact sensor that turns an existing projection surface, whiteboard or TV into a multi-touch board. It calibrates itself, uses a battery-free stylus that charges in about three minutes, and runs the same BrightClass software as the EyeRIS panels.

Schools often use EyeRIS IX in rooms where the projector still has life left, and put EyeRIS panels in the rooms that need a new display. Both run BrightClass, so teachers use the same software in every room.

Try it at our Bengaluru Experience Center

Cybernetyx EyeRIS panels are set up at VTL's Experience Center in Nagarabhavi 2nd Stage. Bring your principal, management and a couple of teachers. They can write on the board, generate a quiz with Bright AI for a chapter they are teaching, and cast from their own phones before you decide.

Smart Boards for Schools — Frequently Asked Questions

Which company is best for smart boards?

Judge a smart board company on five things: the teaching software and how well its content matches your syllabus, panel quality (4K, anti-glare glass, accurate touch), certifications such as BIS, a local partner for installation, training and warranty, and whether you can try it before buying. VTL is Cybernetyx's distribution partner for Karnataka, so we are not neutral, but we lead with Cybernetyx EyeRIS for schools because the panel ships with BrightClass content for NCERT, CBSE, ICSE and State Boards and a curriculum-aligned AI assistant, the EP65 series is BIS and STQC certified, and Cybernetyx has an office in Bengaluru. Samsung Flip Pro is a good choice for schools that want a simpler whiteboard-style display from a large display brand.

Which board is best for online teaching?

For online or hybrid classes, the board needs a camera and microphones that can hear the teacher from anywhere in the room. The Cybernetyx EyeRIS A10 Pro has a built-in AI camera, an 8-microphone array with pickup up to 8 metres and AI class recording, so a teacher can teach to the room and to students at home from the same panel. A good internet connection matters as much as the board.

How much does a digital board for teaching cost?

The cost depends on the screen size, the model (EyeRIS A10, A10 Pro or A20e), whether an OPS Windows module is added, the number of classrooms and the installation work at your school. VTL quotes per project rather than publishing a list price. Send us your classroom count and sizes and we will reply with a quote, usually within one business day.

Do you supply outside Bengaluru?

Yes. VTL is Cybernetyx's distribution partner for Karnataka and delivers across the state, including Mysuru, Mangaluru, Hubballi-Dharwad and Belagavi. If your school is outside Karnataka, contact us and we will tell you how we can help.

What size smart board do I need for a classroom?

For a typical classroom of 30–40 students, 75 or 86 inch. Use 65 inch for small rooms and labs and 98 inch for seminar rooms. As a rule of thumb, the last row should be no more than about six times the screen height from the board.

Can we see the smart board before ordering?

Yes. Cybernetyx EyeRIS panels are on display at VTL's Experience Center in Nagarabhavi 2nd Stage, Bengaluru. Bring your principal, IT head or teachers to try the writing, BrightClass and casting.

Can we make our existing projector classrooms interactive instead?

Yes. EyeRIS IX is a compact sensor that turns an existing projection surface, whiteboard or TV into a multi-touch board and runs the same BrightClass software. It costs less per room than a new panel, so some schools use it for the rooms that still have working projectors.

Ready to price your classrooms?

Send us the number of classrooms and sizes. We will come back with a quote for EyeRIS panels, or a mix of panels and EyeRIS IX if budget is tight.
